Arnaud Cartwright Marts
Arnaud Cartwright Marts (1888–1970) was president of Bucknell University from 1935–45.[1]
The son of a Congregationalist minister, and a graduate of Oberlin College, he raised $1,000,000 for Bucknell prior to becoming its president.[2]
Marts chose Eugene Farley to become the director of Bucknell University Junior College in Wilkes-Barre, who later became the first President of Wilkes College in March 1936.[3]
On February 17, 1989, the Arnaud C. Marts Sports and Conference Center was dedicated at Wilkes College in honor of Marts.[3]
